Viewing Frost Maps
This season, frost maps developed by CSIRO and GRDC are available in the DataFarming platform. A new 30m (beta) resolution map has been added, alongside the 2km maps rolled out last season, see here for details on how it is derived.
Viewing the 2km Frost Layer
1. Select a Farm/Field, then click Layers.
2. Choose either the 2km Frost Layer or 30m Frost Layer. The 2km layer loads immediately on selection. The 30m layer requires processing — see below.

3. Click
Select date and choose the night before the morning you want to view. For example, to see frost for the 24th of August, select the 23rd of August — this shows the overnight data.

4. Once a date is selected, the 2km map will load. Zoom in to see the Min Temp across your fields.
You can also switch the view to Hours below 0°C.
Requesting the 30m Frost Map (Beta)
The 30m layer requires additional processing, so it isn't available instantly like the 2km layer.
1. Click Select Date, choose your date, then click Request Frost Map.

2. The map will appear in the map catalogue marked
Pending. You'll receive an email once it's ready.
3. Click the link in the email to open the requested map.
To note
If there are gaps in a map, this is due to cloud cover.
