Creating Organisations

Creating an organisation in DataFarming lets you manage team members, assign Pro licences, and keep billing all in one place. Follow the steps below to set up a new organisation from scratch.


1. Open the Organisation Menu

  1. Log in to your DataFarming account.

  2. Select your profile icon in the top‑right corner.

  3. From the dropdown, choose Create organisation.

This will start the setup flow.

2. Enter Your Organisation Name

You’ll be asked to provide a name for your organisation or team.

  • Type the name your team will recognise (e.g. Smith Ag, North Farm, Acme Agronomy).

  • This name will appear for all members you invite.



3. Add Members to Your Organisation

You can invite others to join your organisation during setup or skip and add them later.

To invite a member:

  1. Enter their email address.

  2. Choose their permissions:

    • Pro — gives them access to Pro features (requires an available licence).

    • Owner — gives full admin access to the organisation.

Your own account will appear automatically as the first member.

Click Create organisation when you're ready.



4. Add Billing Details (If Required)

If you’re setting up Pro licences, you’ll be prompted to enter billing details.

You’ll be asked for:

  • Card number, expiry, and CVC

  • Cardholder name

  • Billing contact name

  • Billing email address

Why we ask for billing:

  • Instant access — your team can start using Pro features straight away.

  • Easy renewals — no need to re‑enter details for upgrades or subscription changes.


5. Manage Members and Licences

After setup, you can manage your organisation anytime:

  1. Go to Settings.

  2. Select Organisation → Members.

Here you can:

  • Invite new members

  • Assign or remove Pro licences

  • Change roles (Owner / Member)

  • Remove users from the organisation

You’ll also see how many Pro licences are in use.
