Creating, monitoring and analysing Trials

Trial Creation:

To create a trial, click on the Create Trials button on the Home screen or under the 'I want to' menu when in the Farms tab. 







Select the field(s) you are running a trial in from the list on the left hand side (if not already selected) and then click, Setup Trials.



Give your trial a name, then you can selected to use a layer (e.g. STACK, EM if available) as the background for drawing if you wish. Then select, Next.



Next, use either the line Cut Tool or Shape Cut Tool to draw in your trial areas. Then select, Save changes. 




Click on each plot to add a name, then select Add Treatment.


Enter a name for the treatment and then click the tick button to save.



Once a treatment has been created, use the paintbrush to apply it to a plot. If needed, you can remove the treatment by clicking, Unassign treatment. 



Next, select to 'Save trial' and 'View in mapping tool' to navigate to viewing the trials in your field. 





Trial Monitoring:

To monitor your trial, navigate to the farm and field where you setup the trial, using the Farms tab from the Home screen. 

Under the Layers tab, select, Field Trials.



To view imagery under your trial plots, select the kind of imagery and indices you wish to view, then reduce the view trial layer transparency to 0%, by clicking the eye button and then using the slider. 




Analysing Trials:

To export your data to analyse your trial treatments. Click on the 3 dots next to your Trial name. 



Then, select to Export result. 



Select a date for the NDVI imagery and click Add Layer. 



You can then add additional NDVI dates, using the 'Add layer to export' button. After you have added all the images you want to include in the analysis, select, Export trial result. 



Select a name to save your file as and click, Save. The file will then download.
