Viewing Rapid EM data

Viewing Rapid EM data

Step 1: Select a Field from the Fields Tab

  1. After logging in, navigate to the Fields tab in the top menu.
  2. Browse your list of fields and click on the one you want to analyze.
  3. The selected field will appear highlighted on the map, showing its name, crop type, and area.

Step 2: Open the Layers Menu

  1. With your field selected, click on “Layers” in the top navigation bar.
  2. This opens the data overlay panel, where you can access various mapping tools.

Step 3: Locate the Rapid EM Layer

  1. In the Layers panel, scroll to the Plan section.
  2. Click on “Rapid EM” to activate the layer.
  3. Select either Shallow (0.5m) or Deep (1m)
  4. Then select the date of the EM survey from the catalogue bar along the bottom.

Step 4: View the map

  • High conductivity zones (often darker) may indicate heavier soils with higher moisture retention.
  • Low conductivity zones (lighter) can suggest sandier or drier areas.
  • Use this data to inform variable rate applications, irrigation planning, or soil sampling strategies.

Tip: Combine Rapid EM with NDVI or Yield Maps for a multi-layered view of field performance.
